Who still says Grace before a meal?  With over 2 billion Catholics in the world- quite a few people do.  Thanksgiving is about a week away and many of the 70 million Catholic families in America will be saying Grace before the big dinner. Perhaps you will be invited to one of these homes and don’t know a basic blessing.  With the ever-growing immigrant population you might even need to know how to say Grace in something other than English. So here is a FAITHHAUS tutorial -keep in mind other countries have their own versions of Grace, so it’s not always a direct translation.

ENGLISH

Bless us,
O Lord,
and these thy gifts,
which we are about to receive
from your bounty.
Through Christ our Lord.
Amen.
